Karen Barnett is a seasoned, award-winning marketer with extensive experience in developing strategic marketing campaigns having served a variety of leading global corporations including Reckitt Benckiser, The Coca-Cola Company, Procter & Gamble's Pantene Pro-V, Essentials, Oil of Olay and Noxzema brands, GlaxoWellcome, Bristol Myers Squibb, PETsMART, Hasbro, Reebok, Pepsi-Cola, among many others. She has a variety of new store openings, including her own upscale, interactive, themed children's clothing store and is renowned for her women-to-women marketing communications accomplishments.

She has held senior level positions at leading public relations agencies including Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, The MWW Group, Edelman Worldwide and Fleishman-Hillard. She is the recipient of the prestigious Silver Anvil Award and received the "Outstanding Service to Connecticut's Children Award" from Governor Rowland for her "Be a Hero�Be A Foster Parent" campaign for the State's Department of Children and Families.

Karen's professionalism and years of experience provide a broad-based knowledge of public relations needs of businesses in today's marketplace and the external forces that influence public opinion. She is a crisis management specialist and has been the architect and author of crisis plans for global corporations.

Currently, she leads Steele Rose Communications and has recently introduced a new beauty line into the U.S. market, Veet; launched the first removable self-stick watch in the U.S., S.T.A.M.P.S., handled the couture line of scarves and handbags for a New York-based design house, Flying Fig and works on an array of special assignments for the United Nations.

She graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a B.S. in Television-Radio-Advertising.
